For the service of the industry he realized that it is a small scale, village and labour intensive industry and requires its upgrdation and uplift. He with the help of his late associates especially like Sh.Amar Nath Kapahi and Sh. Kesho Dass Bhutani formed an association and got registered with the Registrar of Societies at Delhi under “Delhi Brick Kiln Owners Association” with its own building at 1E-/21 Jhandewalan Extension, Delhi in 1951.
As the difficulties and problems increased with the expansion of the industry in the country, the
members actively felt problems like procurement of Coal, Labour and Pollution.
However with the help of its office bearers in which Lala Hans Raj Dhawan played an active role and organized “All India Brick & Tile Manufacturers Federation” in the year 1957 with its prestigious office at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi in 1986-1987. He was soft Spoken, benevolent and highly receptive to the new ideas and views.
With the death of Sh.D.P.Chadha, the industry has lost a seasoned statesman, a man of principles of the highest order who followed the values, system and dignity of office to the core of setting and example for the generation to come. His commitment to the uplift of the Brick Industry and its labour was unparallel. He had clear-cut ideas for the future development of the brick industry in the country.
The federations deeply mourns the passing away of Sh.D.P.Chadha and convey its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray to almighty to give eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
We, the grieved. |
